"In words, like weeds, I'll wrap me o'er,
Like coarsest clothes against the cold"

This morning Isaiah pulled the kiddie pool out of the shed and said he wanted to go swimming. "I can't stand that pool," I said. He got it out of it's zippered pouch, unfolded it anyway and said, "you'll learn to like it more." I sighed and turned on the hose while he ran to get his swimsuit. Then he happily splashed in the water. When Charlotte woke up from her nap, I let her join him, happy to toddle around in her jelly shoes, splash her hands in the water, and gasp when I set her standing in the pool. It was a little cold. Later in the day, Isaiah's friends Bryson and Owen joined him while I visited with Nicki. It was a fabulous lazy afternoon.
