Yesterday Isaiah was adamant about wearing his batman costume to playgroup and subsequently to the library. I tried to talk him out of it, then thought, Why? He's only 4. So he wore it and swooped around the toys at Arctic Circle in his mask and cape, decked out like it was still Halloween day. Then he found his favorite librarian at the library, and without a hint of shyness asked him to find a batman book. The librarian looked at Isaiah dressed from head to toe as batman and started to laugh. He said, "You just made my day! A little kid dressed as batman asks me to find him a batman book." And I was happy that he wore the costume after all.
