"In words, like weeds, I'll wrap me o'er,
Like coarsest clothes against the cold"

Yesterday we had our second opinion plumber come and assess the pipe situation. It's still dire. His bid was $8,000. We think that we should first try taking out the trees, and killing off the roots, which makes Seth and I both very sad. The trees blossom in the spring and scatter gorgeous autumn leaves. So in honor of our condemned trees, in the afternoon we went for a leaf walk, crunching leaves with our shoes like my mom used to show me. We also gathered a few leaves from various trees around the block to make leaf rubbing pictures. After we got home, Isaiah didn't want to make one, so I made two.
