Like coarsest clothes against the cold"

Today it was a haircut morning. I gave Seth a nice haircut, quickly, while I tried to keep Charlotte from walking in all of the hair and dragging her blanket through it. Then Seth bribed Isaiah to behave for his haircut. (Usually the mere mention of a haircut sends him screaming and hiding and kicking and promising to let us comb his hair instead, which we all know is a complete lie.) If he could have a serene, tantrum-free haircut, Seth promised to buy Isaiah a little lego set of his choice. I thought this was a giant bribe, but it worked like a charm. Isaiah sat patiently for his haircut, which looks a thousand times better than his rag-muffin hair. Then we went shopping for legos and he found a tiny little set with three mini people, a motorcycle, and a small palace. He played with it for hours, and even had his friend Beck come over for an hour to play with it with him.
