Because I love pomp and circumstance and all weddings in general, I decided to tape the Royal Wedding on Friday (I wasn't about to get up at 4 am to see it live). But the morning was busy with field trips, lunch, naps, dishes, and laundry, so it wasn't until early afternoon that I sat down to guiltily watch TV during the day. Oh the wedding was so beautiful and the dress was amazing and everything was so formal and classy and grand. Then Charlotte was crying and climbing on my lap, and Isaiah complained at how boring it was, and I sat there and folded my laundry while the new royal highnessess took a ride in an open horse-drawn carriage to the applaud of all of London. And there were twinges, there, that I wished for a palace and a staff of servants...or maybe just one servant, even part time. But later I went on a date with my sweetheart and came home and checked on my sleeping babes in their rooms. And I couldn't feel richer or more blessed.
