Date night this weekend was fabulous. We tried out a delicious new restaurant called Roosters, where I had fish tacos and Seth got a burger and "naughty fries" that came with spectacular cheese dips. I ate most of them. Then we went to a hilarious rinky dink production of The Pirates of Penzance that was held in a weird half abandoned bar / half theater. There were about 10 performers and about 30 spectators. It was a sing-along. Seth gave me such a weird look when we arrived and picked up our copy of the songs, but it was very entertaining. My friend's husband did a smashing job at the Pirate King (his solo was by far the best) and the piano accompanist played her fingers off.

Someday let's live close enough to try fun little restaurants on lots of empty-nester double dates...
