Saturday I took my newly pieced quilt over to my new quilt lady friend. Usually I take the quilts to be professionally quilted at a local shop, but this one is needed by the month's end and the shop has a 10-week waiting list! I checked online and found a list of people who own longarm quilting machines and run their own home businesses. I chose a name that looked friendly and called her. She is fantastic! I think we're going to be great friends. She let me come to her house and see her gorgeous quilt room, machine, and a number of quilts that she has done. And she promised she would finish mine in under two weeks. I'm thrilled!
